Something French

Why is it that France is so different.
I've tried to capture the images of France in my mind.

Studied the history like Bastille Day. Even though Bastille Day is celebrated to commemorate the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789
These tired waiters depict the end of such a celebration.
At De Oude Huize we sometimes also feel like the waiters in this picture.
Being a small family establishment we some times  feel the fatigué

Watch the slim and trim french women - I am not slim and trim

Thanks to The Colorplaid for this contribution!
There is the language and the colours
Amour

Nature

Le souper
vin
macarons
Then there is Marie Antionette
Graphic Fairy's version

Living in South Africa is totally different we have developed our own little piece of  France right here.
Not French but South Africa with a touch of Provance

Peeled paint nothing perfect.
A wonderful feel - I have been there
Linked to The French Cupboard

Candles and lanterns for natural light

Books and something to dink during the winter months

Carpets to enhance the ambiance

Wrought iron everywhere

In the city you have a patio here we have a stoep!

Something out of nothing.
We could not safe this old chair.
After some chalk paint a new life against a wall started.

These two wonderful ladies is waiting in the wings.
Will post the process.

Till next time
Lots of love
Sandra
