Kameel Stoepstorie: The Country Store

 Today we are still smiling.

This story was told by one of our guests and we would like to share it with you.

We all know the Country stores in South Africa and these little stores play an important role in the community where they are situated.

The gentleman's story begins as he was locking up his country store late one afternoon. The last customer arrived.

A lady, on high heels, a long cigarette holder in hand and a swing in the hips. She explore the shop and then asked if there is anything fresh.

The old gentleman then politely answer that the bread, veggies, fudge and jams are all homemade.

Her answer was very rude and to the tune, that is not what she was looking for and everything is pathetic.

His answer was that the brooms are very, very fresh

She look at him quite puzzled and asked him what that would be needed for.

He kept his cool "to use for transport"

She did not get it and he then gave her another hint "please use it and fly away"
